Oh my, this house!!

One of my biggest pet peeves is when bloggers copy, paste and post all their ideas from other bloggers.  I'm sorry, I admit it, I'm going to make an exception with this post!  I'm copying, pasting and posting directly from one of my favourite bloggers, Erin Gates of Elements of Style.  This house is just too awesome to not show you!
A few days ago, Erin showcased the latest project from her Dad's architecture firm and ....WOW!  It's very clear where Erin developed her sense of style and attention to detail.  It's so rare that we see this style of home on the west coast of British Columbia.  It's definitely more of an east coast vibe isn't it?  Look at the details in the rounded kitchen island, the nautical looking staircase, the AMAZING kids bunk beds!  My kids would die to sleep in those bunks for a night!   Enjoy...

David Eustace, a hauntingly beautiful artist!

I recently stumbled across this Scottish photographer, David Eustace, via The Anthropologist.  I just had to share his beautiful and somewhat haunting depiction of the Scottish Highlands.  This series is called the Highland Heart and it's a "photographic tribute to the Highlands and Hebridean Islands.  This endeavor not only afforded Eustace the opportunity to capture the dramatic crevices and crags of his homeland, but also honor generations of Gaels past, whom he acknowledges as this project's raison d'ĂȘtre." Maxilicious!

I've been dying to get my hot little hands on the perfect maxi skirt for this lovely summer weather!  I popped by the Zara at Metrotown the other day, intent they'd have the exact skirt I was imagining.  BUT...the whole store is boarded up and painted black!  Are they renovating? Moving? ....Since I couldn't get into Zara so I'm still on the hunt for the perfect long, billowy, summer skirt.  I tried on the beautiful white one below at Club Monaco and it was lovely, but it was dressier than I wanted.  Have a look, which one is your favourite?
